Shazam revealed “Shazam Fast Forward 2025”his list of annual predictions, highlighting 50 artists who have what it takes to have a hugely successful year. This week, Shazam revealed 10 artists per day, divided into broader genres ranging from Dance, Latin, Alternative, Rock and Country, Pop and Hip-Hop, and R&B. Powered by Shazam's unique, predictive data and algorithms, combined with the expertise of Apple Music's global editorial team, this extraordinary selection of artists represents the hottest current and future music trends. Each selected artist showed signs of future growth, including consistent and growing activity on Shazam, as well as discovery trends in more than one country. This year's list represents the most diverse group of artists yet, hailing from over 25 countries and regions, and covering 24 genres ranging from Amapiano and Afrobeat to Música Mexicana and UK Drill.
Last year's prediction list proved to be another great selection of talent, with two-thirds of artists reaching Apple Music's Daily Top 100 in 150 countries, and a third making Shazam's country charts in 46 villages. On average, compared to the previous year, Shazam Predictions 2024 artists saw a +34% increase in song searches on Shazam, a +146% increase in streams on Apple Music, and a +269% increase in rotations radio.
