Twenty candles and an intriguing line-up: Sexto 'Nplugged returns to illuminate the summer with an edition that celebrates two decades of music and sound experimentation. From 3 to 6 July, the Abbey of Sesto al Reghena (PN) will become the heart of a festival which will propose to merge the intimate dimension of the live with the historical grandeur of the medieval village.
In the province of Pordenone – recently appointed Italian capital of culture 2027 – Sesto al Reghena is not only an architectural jewel, but also an epicenter of cultural events that have marked the independent music scene. And it is precisely here that Sexto 'Nplugged has built his identity, far from the mass festivals.
For now, for now the names announced in the lineup of summer 2025. It starts on July 3 with Molchat Doma, a Belarusian band that brought the new wave back to the top of the global playlists. After conquering Tiktok with Сray And climbing the viral rankings of Spotify, the Molchat Doma arrive in Sesto al Reghena with their latest album Belaya mopal. Cupe sounds, obsessive synths and a sound that recalls the Soviet atmospheres of the late eighties: here are the ingredients for the opening evening of the Festival.
It continues on July 4th with Black Country, New Road, on the edge of the experimentation between post-rock, folk, jazz and chamber music. The British collective will arrive on the stage of the Sexto 'Nplugged with the new album, Forever Howlongpublished by Ninja Tune.
On July 5, the appointment is with Anna von Hausswolf for a show between the concert and the sound ritual. A magnetic voice, an organ with gothic rods and atmospheres are the elements that we will have to wait. For those who love Dark Ambient sounds and cinematographic suggestions.
Finally, the grand finale of 6 July will be entrusted to the Baustelle, who will arrive in Pordenone between future and nostalgia, poetry and disenchantment – and of course in the wake of their latest album, El Galactico.
Isn't music enough for you? Sexto 'Nplugged replies. Since 2021, the Burovich square has housed the Sexto Lounge, a free admission space with DJ sets, artistic performances and a food & drink area to experience the all -round festival.
