Sarafine continues his artistic path with the exit of Lu rusciu de lu maresong of the Salento tradition that returns to vibrate in an electronic version produced together with Ciaurualias Simone Privitera.
The song comes out on July 4th and also marks its debut with Sony Music France.
Sarafine Lu Rusciu de Lu Mari Meaning
The title in dialect means “The sound of the sea“: An impossible love story between a soldier and a princess, separated from fate and social differences. A nenia that tells the pain, but also the poignant beauty of feeling distant and close at the same time.
In this new guise, the song takes inspiration from the version proposed by Salento Grecanic Canzoniereand turns into a piece to dance under full cash. It is designed for the summer, with a groove that pushes and a production that looks to dancefloor, but retains a melancholy soul: that intense and unmistakable voice of Sarafine who manages to keep the archaic and the contemporary, intimacy and energy together.
“The idea of reinterpreting this song with Ciauru was born after a version I had done for Radio2 Social Club, together with Giulia Vecchio. The feedback was surprising and with my team we thought it was the right time to make it a summer version. I went to the studio from Simo (Ciauru), it was the first time we met, but the agreement was immediate. In two days this new Lu Rusciu de Lu Mare was born.” – Sarafine
