Is the party here? Yes! The tour “Max Forever – This forum is not a hotel” it kicked off on December 28th and has already scored a sold out after another: just the break on January 1st to recharge the batteries, Pezzali and his band will continue until Friday January 10th, for an engaging show that takes us back to the legendary Nineties.
A multi-stage journey into the last century and into Max's world, made up of walkman, arbe magique, figurines, lots of analogy and that we now breathe with a bit of nostalgia for that provincial dimension of his Pavia told in the various songs of 883. The show follows last summer's stadium tour with Max Forever (Hits Only), but with a revisited setlist and the off-screen story of Linus' voice that marks the stages of the live show, opened with He gets pissed off (This house is not a hotel), which gives its title to the tour of this period.
Bright floral shirt, happy smile, Pezzali makes his entrance on the big stage of the Forum for a nostalgic parade with Always usthe beautiful medley of pieces from the early career of Don't beat me up / You're pissing me off / 6/1/loser / Jolly Blue and the evergreen Route to the house of God. With They killed Spider-Man we enter the second set of the live, which is among the most romantic ballads of How It Must Go and The Years and more dance pieces (You're a Myth, In the Night, We Don't Break, The Celebrity Queen and The Friend Rule) make the stadium shake to the rhythm of that 90s pop that colors the evening.
The audience is in a frenzy and people dance in the parterres and stands, in a New Year's Eve party atmosphere. The action figures of a two of spades and a queen of hearts entered onstage on the Friend's Rule, remain on stage for an unscheduled event that New Year's Eve can give: even the most unlucky card in the deck can live tonight A love song with its beautiful and does not go blank. The love is the air moment continues on How comein which the kiss cam immortalizes couples in love in the audience, and then gives us the chorality of No regretswhich closes the first half of the concert.
Time for a ticket draw for one lucky spectator who will go to the summer event Max Forever – Grand Prixthe great live show on July 12th that is being organized at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari racetrack in Imola, and here is a change of stage: from the main stage, Max and his band move to the platform in the middle of the parterre next to the mixer for a very romantic and All in acoustic: on Here you are we jump back in time and the Christmas lights color the already magical atmosphere of the Forum. And then the string of I'll be fine, You're amazing and I'm here toothe historian's surprise Airplane and poetics Nothing but us... the instrumental interlude of Io ci saró allows the artists to move back to the large stage for the performance of the piece, which inaugurates the last part of the show.
With The harsh law of goals Max sings and makes his and our inspirational models sing, from Freddy Mercury to Ghandi, on A thousand thanks presents his immense band that accompanies him every evening on stage, thanking each professional one by one, with a humility and gratitude that shows the great humanity of the person Max is. A bit of choral emotion and a few tears slip away when the iconic scream “Hey baby” starts and here on the intro of North South West East we're back to partying: the visuals of cacti and mariachis dance on the screens on the Forum stage, in a ranch atmosphere that continues on Really beautiful.
The grand finale, as in last summer's summer tours, is entrusted to the dance of Keep time and melancholy With a deca which close the two hours of live performance by the great Max.
The special evening of December 31st then saw the Unipol Forum continue its New Year's Eve party, with the beautiful DEEJAY TIME, all played by the historic DJs Albertino, Fargetta, Molella and Prezioso who took turns on stage for a dance session with the hits that made the history of discos in the 80s, 90s and 2000s: from Rhythm Is A Dancer of Snap, to the Chemical Brothers of Hey Boy Hey Girl, passing through Blight of the Eiffel 65, Baby Baby by Corona and the super ballad Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics. The super dive into the past continued until late at night with those Hit Mania hits that colored the afternoons and evenings of us Millennials (and which continue to make entire generations dance and sing to follow).
If shortly after 3 am the evening of the 31st at the Forum ended with a wild Groove, the break from music in Assago will not last long: from tonight until January 10th the Forum continues to be not a hotel, but Pezzali's home. And after a few days of relaxation, Max and his men are ready to get to Rome where from 24 January to 2 February coloreanno The PalaSport Gino Cesaroni with their music. In short, the unstoppable Max with his hits is still very full: don't miss the opportunity to dance with him!
