psalm – CRACKERS: a manifesto of artistic autonomy
The second of three unreleased songs contained in HELLVISBACK 10 YEARS LATER it is a true manifesto of artistic autonomy. In CRACKERS, Psalm plays on the contrast between image and authenticity in the world of contemporary rap, striking with his sharp writing the poses, hierarchies and false myths of success.
A declaration of identity that reaffirms his unique position within the scene, without compromise and with the strength that has always distinguished his music.
The video: a stark black and white aesthetic
To accompany the song, a video directed by Bogdan 'Chilldays' Plakov with the photograph of Edoardo Bolli. The work is visually essential and compact, built on a pure black and white system that eliminates any chromatic distraction. The goal is to focus your gaze on the magnetic attitude of Psalminseparable from his new mask.
The marked grain and raw photography convey an almost analogue aesthetic that amplifies the tension of the song and reinforces its underground imprint. A visual system of strong stylistic coherence, where performance and image merge into a direct and uncompromising aesthetic.
The release of HELLVISBACK 10 YEARS LATER is ever closer and, to ignite the fans' enthusiasm even more, from today it is also possible to pre-order the album in the collectible CD (black leather box) and Musicassetta Rossa formats.
