Bartholomew launches new single Salemavailable on digital platforms from August 30, 2024 For Carousel Records. The song completes the album's tracklist TILTpublished on April 12th last. Together, the singer-songwriter also releases another bonus track: the remix of the song Paris, McDonald's which he himself created.
With this double release, Bartholomew closes his most recent album by adding new musical nuances. In TILTthe artist has condensed a year and a half of life choosing his own experience as a starting point. He has told the story of the moment of the inevitable confrontation with adult life, affections, losses and changes. TILT attests to the personal and artistic growth of Bartholomewwhile also maintaining its lighthearted and playful tone.
The 12 original tracks of TILT were written by Bartholomew in close collaboration with trusted friends and collaborators such as Golden Years (producer of the whole album together with the same Bartholomew), David Rossi Doria (artistic director of the project), and colleagues Lil Kvneki And Tripolar. Added to these is Matthew Domenichelliwith which the singer-songwriter created the bonus track Salem.
Bartolini closes the “TILT” cycle and looks to the future
This unreleased song is the testimony of a bond that tries to resist with determination the darkest and most sinister moments of life. The text reads: “I can't tell blood from ink / I argued with the clouds but now I'm calming down / this is our hospital, we made scales there / we are the witches of Salem”. It is a vivid account of someone who feels like an outcast on the fringes of society, but clings to the hope of getting better again.
The other bonus track that Bartholomew decided to release, it's a remix of the song Paris, McDonald's. This song is one of the most intimate pieces of the album. In it, there is a clear contrast between the disillusionment of the chorus and the dreamy and playful atmosphere of the verses. The mental escape towards the idyllic is contrasted by a sudden return to reality, from which one was trying to escape. The song now finds a new sound thanks to the remix made by the same Bartholomewwho experimented with mixing new UK garage and Lo-Fi House influences with more traditional elements.
About these two new songs, the artist said: “With these two singles the “TILT” cycle is definitely closed and at the same time it introduces a new period in which I hope to write a lot of music. I am very satisfied with the result.
final and happy to have experimented with new sounds. I hope the public appreciates the evolution of my music”.

SALEM, the text
Dark days will end
I would never want to leave you
with red eyes you have
wasted time and cry
hidden days will end
dark spending money that
you don't have red eyes
you wasted time and you sing in secret
Only the same faces in the
same place
you're changing my mind
way of seeing the world
you carry a huge weight on
neck
make a list of pros and
against which you have done
I basket
I hate the same faces I love it
same place
I only jump into the water if
there is a rough sea
I can't tell the difference between blood and
ink
I had a fight with the clouds
but now I'm calming down
this is our hospital
we did it ourselves
scales we are the witches
we are the witches of salem
of salem
Dark days will end
I would never want to leave you
with red eyes you have
wasted time and cry
hidden days will end
dark spending money that
you don't have red eyes
you wasted time and you sing of
hidden
Ghost town
we got lost
I don't remember yours anymore
face we cried
down to the bones
under a passing train
there is a distracted moon
but it's not my fault
but it's not my fault
Dark days will end
I would never want to leave you
with red eyes you have
wasted time and cry
hidden days will end
dark spending money that
you don't have red eyes
you wasted time and you sing of
hidden
