Argentine artist Sael is celebrating the release of his new EP H. 10 by dropping a special visualizer for one of the project’s tracks, “Locomía.”
Sael tells Rolling Stone that “Locomía” was originally born from a beat. As he started to find inspiration for the song, he tweaked it until he made a “dark and intense perreo.”
“I added some heavy drums and at that moment I closed my eyes and started to imagine a ‘secret love’ or a ‘secret affair’ and then I decided it was a good idea to make a song that talks about two people who see each other in secrecy and no one finds out because they are very discreet,” he explains.
The Ilmato-directed video is filmed from Sael’s point of view as he sings along to his single from an attic-based studio as his friends drink and vibe to the track. The visual sees him cheering with his friends and taking sips of a drink while posing for selfies with his friends.
Sael says he wanted to show “how I see my friends, having a few drinks and listening to the song” in the visual.
The new track’s title is a play on words of the Eighties group Locomía and the words “lo comía,” Sael explains.
“It’s a song that is suitable for the club, for perreo, to enjoy it in the car, wherever,” he says. “I’m truly very happy with the final result and then we proceeded to shoot the visualizer with some friends in the studio and had a great time, I really enjoyed it a lot and I feel it was impeccable and wonderful.”
Producers such as Sky Rompiendo, Taiko, Magic on the Beat, and Axel Caram helped produce the EP H.10, which features songs including “Quedate La Foto,” “Si Si Si,” and “Un Cigarro.”
This is his first project since dropping El Pibe (Vol.1) in 2022, which featured collaborations with Emilia on “Q-Lito,” Miky Woodz on “Imagina” and Taiko on “Infraganti.” The year prior, he broke through thanks to “Me Enseñaste,” his collab with Duki. He also dropped his self-titled album S A E L in 2019.
