He doesn't think about holding his nose, to use Montanelli's expression. And therefore he urges his followers to “don't vote for Harris or Trump”.
Roger Waters is the latest in a long line of singers and musicians who have taken a stand ahead of the US presidential elections on November 5th. Unlike others, who have sided with Kamala Harris (the latest in chronological order is Bad Bunny) or Trump (in all things much less), Waters does not intend to support the Democratic candidate, nor the Republican candidate, the only ones who done they can win.
In a post published on Instagram, Waters explains that “they both support the murder of children”, in reference to what is happening in Gaza and beyond. “They are both evil beyond belief. There is no lesser evil.”
The musician then indicates the candidates to vote for, all independent: the environmentalist Jill Stein on the ticket with Rudolph Ware, the intellectual Cornel West with Melina Abdullah, the socialist Joseph Kishore with Jerry White. All accompanied by images of Money live.
