Out from Friday 22 November on all digital platforms the new single by Roberta Gentile,”Chimera“, made with the support of MIC and of SIAE within the program “For Those Who Create”
The song, after “Krav Maga“, anticipates the album of the same name due out on November 29th, the new project of the young artist, a promise of the international pop soul scene and fresh from the Battito World Tour, which saw her on stage alongside Eros Ramazzotti.
The new single is halfway between reality and parallel worlds, in fact the Chimera in Greek mythology was a creature made up of different beasts, which represented destructive forces and an unattainable ideal. In biology, however, it describes an individual made up of cells from two different species, united accidentally or experimentally.
In the album these and other suggestions allow futuristic sounds to be merged with the immortal melody of the singer-songwriter, thus creating a new musical universe.
The album is produced by Ricky Quagliato and shows the versatility of the singer-songwriter, who combines the tradition of Italian writing and modern, evocative and refined sounds, and also includes notable featurings such as David Shortythe pianist Antonio Faraò and the master Beppe D'Onghia.
The whole project revolves around a musical and emotional dualism, as in the single released in recent weeks “Krav Maga” which, as he says Roberta Gentile,”represents the internal conflict between the rational and instinctive sides, often triggered by bad choices or moments of euphoria”.
