Few companies do it like Nike when it comes to elevating their product lineup season after season. Case in point: the newly-released Nike Promina sneakers, which are some of the most comfortable shoes we’ve slipped into in recent memory. At just $65, they’re one of the most affordable pairs of name-brand sneakers you can pick up online too.

Nike Promina Sneakers
Riffing off the trendy oversized silhouette (popularized by brands like Hoka and On), the Nike Promina sneakers pairs a flexible knit upper with a stacked foam sole, with a ton of cushioning throughout. A reinforced heel adds support, while a wider arch and toe box keeps things roomy and comfortable.
Though it’s technically designed to be a walking shoe, we’ve worn these sneakers to the gym, and they’ve held up through even the toughest classes on the treadmill and HIIT circuit. The support on the ankles is surprisingly strong, and the soles of the shoe are super grippy, allowing us to walk (and run and lift) with confidence.
While some chunky sneakers and “dad shoe” models can feel heavy on the feet, the Prominas are incredibly lightweight and breathable. In fact, they’ve become our go-to sneakers for plane rides and travel, in addition to using them at the gym.
What we like: the Promina sneakers continue Nike’s commitment to sustainability, with at least 20% of the materials used in the creation of the sneaker labeled as “recycled content.” Nike says the product was “responsibly designed utilizing recycled materials from post-consumer and/or post-manufactured waste.” Sustainable style has never looked — or felt — this good.
We’re partial to the black and white or black-on-black colorway (which make a great fashion statement too), though you can choose from six colors in total online. Nike has sizes 6 to 13 available; in our testing, the fit is a little snug, so we recommend sizing up (I.e. we usually wear a size 9 but we purchased these shoes in a 9.5). See full details here.
