We had left the Relics of Humanity in 2019, full of good judgments and fruitful hopes following the publication of the excellent “obscuration”, a promising disk of a few minutes that went to break an important record silence following the renowned “Ominously Reigning Upon the Intangible “and the first” guide by the soulless call “.
In that case, we had above all appreciated the band's ability to move with intelligence and innovation between the shirts of extreme death metal, inserting atmospheric parts of great socket which, not surprisingly, are now resumed and developed at the nth degree. The few introductory minutes of “omen apollyon” moreover, indelibly mark the stylistic measure that the group will operate for the duration of “apsolute dysmal domain”: an overwhelming hint of evil and disheartened scarce immediately the scene, thanks in the first Location of particularly slow rhythms for the genre, an ultra-structural vocal style and threatening soundscapes in the background, but capable of the hint of malignancy that the Belarusians have explicitly searched and evoked.
The copious blast-beat waterfalls of the past leave room for an absolutely simpler, slow and linear songwriting today, relegating the fastest times to sporadic moments of interval inside the songs. The bulk of the Full in fact, it is printed halfway between lenses and medians, largely upset the dynamics that animated the band to date. “Summoning of Those Who Absorbed”, “In the Name of Ubiquitous Gloom” and “Smoldering of Seraphim” contain some outbursts in them in memory of the old times, but the choice to abandon more frenetic and intricate in favor of A simpler and, unfortunately, much more flat yield.
Taken the merit of having given birth to an atmospheric work brutal death (?) Innovative in the intentions, you are banned from the lack of depth and poor variety with which the songs are structured, ending up resembling all of them and braking the general enthusiasm For excessive indulgence in the use of slow and simple riffs and predictable vocal lines.
To definitively observe “Absolute Dismal Domain”, a pitiful general mixing, at all organic and with guitar sounds and battery simply unacceptable for such a product, thinks about it: it makes no sense to recall the sound of the first suffocation in an album that aims instead on the 'innovation and expansion of the genre, ending up to further flatten the few dynamics they meet while listening.
The sufficiency is guaranteed to the Relics of Humanity thanks to the innovative scope of this work, so disturbing and dark, but an interesting concept is not enough to make such a coarse and approximate proposal winning, both in the sounds and in writing.
