Ac/Dc, of which there are rumors of a possible concert in Milan in 2025, remain one of the most influential rock groups of all time, with over 200 million records sold worldwide. “Back In Black” is the best-selling album by a band in history and the third best-selling album ever by an artist, with over 50 million copies worldwide. The group entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003, as well as the Music Victoria Awards Hall of Fame in its home country of Australia. The Australian lineup – Angus Young on lead guitar, Brian Johnson on vocals, Stevie Young on rhythm guitar, Matt Laug on drums and a new bassist to continue Cliff Williams' work – continues to rake in sold-out stadiums on all continents and to sell millions of records every year. Their latest work is “Power Up” (2020), the seventeenth studio album in a 50-year history.
The magazine Mojo, in a report by George Garner, wanted to celebrate them by publishing a ranking of their albums, from worst to best, underlining the coherence that has always distinguished the group co-founded by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young, determined not to “not give up or bow to the fashions of the moment”. A journey of over 50 years that “from Sydney pubs to sold-out stadiums all over the world” has led them to sell over 200 million records all over the world, also overcoming the trauma of the death of charismatic frontman Bon Scott and recovering in the same year with the arrival of the new singer Brian Johnson and the iconic album 'Back In Black'”. With a unique repertoire of songs – many of which include the word “rock” in the title – Ac/Dc's discography has become a seminal model for subsequent generations of bands.
