Rachele Bastreghi release the single Metropolitan Crisison all digital platforms from September 13, 2024. This is a cover of the song by Giuni Russo of the 1981born from the collaboration of the latter with Frank Battiato.
20 years have passed since the singer-songwriter's death; and Rachele Bastreghi he decided to pay homage to her by creating his own personal version of Metropolitan CrisisThe singer explains her decision as follows: “Giuni Russo's voice has always overwhelmed and inspired me. I just let myself be carried away by a passionate gratitude towards a great artist”.
Rachel He also tells how he chose the song to reinterpret: “''Crisi metropolitana' was already present in the playlist of songs I listened to during the making of my album “Psychodonna”, with the idea of making my own version. I took up the song again on the eve of the new concert tour to include it in the setlist and finally record it. In the studio with Mario Conte we tried to reinterpret the song, letting ourselves be guided by a very compelling rhythm, maintaining its energy and emphasizing its more punk aspects, with the enthusiasm that such an important interpretation deserves. I sang and I felt light. Enjoy listening”.
The song is accompanied by a particular and evocative cover. Its creation is the result of the work of the cartoonist and illustrator Alessandro Baronciani.

In conjunction with the release of Metropolitan Crisis, Rachele Bastreghi kicks off the tour A Day as a Psychodonna – Designed Concert.
The show was born from the union of the songs of Psychowomanthe last solo album published, and drawings by Alessandro Baronciani. Rachele Bastreghi plays and sings live; Alessandro Baronciani draws live. The recital tells an imaginary day in the life of a girl who finally has a “room of her own”. In that place, she can be reborn every morning, revolutionizing and inventing a new possible World after sunset. Within this musical tale, Rachel will also present to the public the new version of Metropolitan Crisis.
