THE Punkreas announce the release, on February 20, of “The great dance“In the reinterpretation of Modena City Ramblers.
This second publication follows that of January 22 of “Acà Toro”, in Giancane's unprecedented rereading, and is part of the series of revisits curated by musicians linked to the historic band and accompanied by original covers by Davide Toffolo, fragments of a design that is will reveal in its completeness later. Issued exclusively digitally, the covers anticipate the exit of “Paranoia and Power (Remastered Version) – 30th Anniversary”expected for March 21st.
On the Realization of “La Grande Dance” The Modena City Ramblers declare: “Raga, this year we celebrate the thirty years of paranoia and power and would like to ask friends to make a version of a disco song, do you want to participate?” “Of course, what a cool!” “And which one would you like to do?” “Mmmmmmm … how about the great dance? He has violin and accordion … he lends himself … and then worse than how you recorded it thirty years ago we cannot do it! ” You joke of course, but it went more or less like this and record our version of a piece of our music brothers was really a crazy cool! “
The republication of this historic album originally released in 1995, now remastered and published in vinyl, CD and cassette, and the series of author cover, available only digitally, mark the thirtieth anniversary of a fundamental record, which wrote the story Punk-rock in Italy and which is still very current today.
