It will be in radio rotation from May 31, 2024 the new single from the Brescia band Territorial Hub, Pamela. The song has already been released on digital platforms with the support of MiC and of SIAEas part of the “Per Chi Crea” program, and today on All Music Italia We present you an exclusive preview of the video clip.
Territorial Hub is a band formed by Filippo Farolfi (Cutting), singer and guitarist, Pablo Lorenzo Almansi (Pablo) on the bass, Luca Manzella (Manza) on lead guitar and Lorenzo Apollonius (Lore) on drums.
The group was born at the beginning of 2019 in Brescia, through a casual contact between aspiring musicians, within the walls of the Liceo Classico Arnaldo in Brescia. Thus began, in the rehearsal rooms, a journey of musical composition and lyric writing.
The influences of the alternative rock and punk scene merge into the sound of Territorial Hub and the young group soon becomes popular in the Brescia youth underground context.
After the publication of the first self-produced demos on soundcloud, the group embarks on its first professional experience in the Faustini Produzioni studios supported by the artistic director and international producer Roberto Vernetti.
Pamela is the first official single of Territorial Hub.
Territorial pole, pamela, the history of the song
This single was born from a personal experience, from a chance meeting on a train with a girl who suffered from addiction. The pop punk sound is enriched by profound lyrics, which invite this girl to “wake up”, to look at herself and take control of her life. The world of punk from the early '00s is therefore brought to the present day, in the hope that young people can find stimuli that will save them from the indifference of this society and the resulting apathy.
The band explains the song exclusively to our site like this:
“We wrote Pamela a long time ago, we've had it in our drawer for four years now, and it's surreal to finally be able to listen to it on every platform.
In the arrangement we wanted to recall the sounds of 2000s pop punk, to create an irreverent piece that directly and energetically conveyed a message very dear to us.
Pamela recalls the day when at the station, more or less five years ago, I met a red-haired girl. I had repeatedly noticed her expansiveness with the train passengers, but she had never spoken to me. One afternoon for some absurd reason we ended up smoking together, and those 10 minutes spent with her brought back memories I had never had. The familiar feeling of nostalgia for experiences never lived, ascribed to the immediate idealization of her person, led me to dedicate a song to her.
The nymph the text speaks of has never existed, and her name is as futile as her addictions and the interlocutor's attempt to divert her from them. This is how Pamela materializes, as an intimate and raw desire to save an idea from its own illusions.”
PAMELA THE VIDEO CLIP
The video clip of Pamela alternates scenes shot within the walls of the Copernico High School in Brescia with the playful and light setting of an amusement park, trying to recreate the atmosphere of the pop punk videos of the early 2000s, those of artists such as blink 182, sum 41 and the Green Day.
Similarly to the story of Pamela, a young girl struggling with her addictions, the message that the music video wants to convey, especially to younger people, is to share one's difficulties, listen to those that afflict others and give the opportunity to those who are nearby to offer support and help.
Everyone is faced with problems and adversities, but sometimes, by making an effort on a daily basis not to let them shine through, we forget that it is precisely these that make us human.
“Working on the music video was an unforgettable experience! Initially we wanted to retrace Pamela's story, but the professionalism of the director Luca Rapuzziwhich we thank, allowed us to express the message we wanted to convey in frames, creating a beautiful dualism between the text of the song and the images that accompany it.
The filming was a continuous alternation between moments of seriousness and absolute ignorance; at a certain point Lorenzo vomited and this made the message even stronger in our hearts“
