PinkPantheress will bring her debut album, Heaven Knows, on the road next spring as she embarks on the Capable of Love tour. The singer, songwriter, and producer’s headlining run will make a dozen stops in North America in the spring, three months before she will join Olivia Rodrigo on the Guts world tour.
The Capable of Love tour will begin on April 6 with an opening show at Detroit’s Saint Andrew’s Hall. The stretch of shows extends through April 30, when it will conclude in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium. PinkPantheress will stop in Toronto, Boston, New York, Chicago, Nashville, Houston, San Diego, and more.
General sale for the tour begins on Friday, Nov. 17 at 10 a.m. local time via the official PinkPantheress website. Atlanta rapper and singer Bktherula will join as support on select dates, and viral rapper Kanii will open on others.
Since breaking through to a new tier of pop alongside Ice Spice with “Boys a Liar, Pt. 2” earlier this year, PinkPantheress has found herself performing to thousands-deep festival crowds. Some of those performances sparked viral critique about her stage presence, a growing point of contention for many artists whose careers began and exploded within the confines of the pandemic. But with a headlining run and an album full of new material, PinkPantheress gains an edge of control.
“Do I enjoy performing on a big stage? No,” the musician recently told the New York Times. “Because my music is so fast and loud on occasion, people expect me to do some crazy stuff, and that’s not really me. That’s why I enjoy my headline shows, because fans understand where I’m coming from and what my artistry looks like. People know it’s not going to be R&B dance routines with backup dancers and stuff.”
