Pinhead Gunpowder are back. After 16 years. The side project of Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day has released a new song. It's called Untlike the album that will be released on October 18th. It is the first release of the quartet since the EP West Side Highway of 2008.
The group also includes Billie Joe, guitarist Jason White, an additional musician in Green Day's live lineup, bassist Bill Schneider and drummer Aaron Cometbus.
“We got a sermon on the subway,” sings Billie Joe in Unt“the preacher spews venom on the people. We won’t get anywhere if we sit here waiting for a savior. If no one else will stop it, it’ll be me.”
“It’s been crazy to keep this secret for over a year and now we’re happy to finally reveal to everyone that the band got back together in May 2023 and have written 14 new songs recorded by Chris Dugan (Weezer, Samiam, Green Day etc).”
