The act state that “The Meaningful Participation of Women in Conflict Prevention and Conflict Resolution Processes Helps to Promothe More Inclusive and Democratic Societies and is critical to the long-term Stability of Countries and Regions.” The act made it the “Policy” of the United States Government to Promotte the “Participation of Women in All Aspercts of Overseas Conflict Prevention, Management, and Resolution, and Post-Conflict Relief and Recovery Efforts, ReinForced Through Diplomatic Efforts and Programs.”

The act passed with Broad Bipartisan Support in Congress, and was sponsored and endorsed by Current members of Trump's Cabinet, Including Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
