The song was written by the two in collaboration with Francesco Bacci (Lowtopic), who also arranged and produced the piece.
“We had two words, four chords and an ashtray. We had no big plans, other than the desire not to have any. We didn't really know how or what would come of it, nor did we really care; we just wanted to write a song.” the two artists say.
“We cannot explain music – much less how it is born – like the sex of angels, the nature of conflicts, the aftertaste of wines, the charm of goal scorers, anxieties and fears, the peace of silence, and a thousand other things. There are, however, moments – miraculous – when we are in balance between the forces that animate and torment our lives, and for a while we are happy. This, perhaps, is what we felt while writing Lydia“. they conclude Pasino And De Angelis on how the song was born.
