After Oasis, CCCP, Teatro degli Orrori and many others, what remains of the Offlaga Disco Paxwhich disbanded in 2014 following the painful death of Enrico Fontanelli.
Daniele Carretti and Max Collini decided to do it to celebrate twenty years of “Pocket Socialism (Technical Transmission Tests)”their proud debut rally published on March 7, 2005 by Santeria / Audioglobe.
Over time the album has largely surpassed the cult dimension, with infinite physical reissues, on CD and vinyl, and hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of plays on platforms, also thanks to the single, which later became the anthem of a couple of generations,”Robespierre”.

Fifteen years later, the world of music and society as a whole are no longer the same, but those stories have remained deep within thousands of people. Certainly when it saw the light none of the three Offlagas could have imagined that “Pocket Socialism” and the endless tour that accompanied it (158 dates in twenty months) would become so important that even today many people listen to those ironic, surreal, domestic, universal.
With hindsight one might think that that result was the fruit of a well-thought-out five-year plan, but the reality remains what it is: three children of Reggio Emilia and its cultural and ideological legacy meet in a record shop, they exchange stories, go to see concerts, become friends and give birth to an inevitable consequence. “Pocket Socialism” is the album that changed their lives and perhaps also that of many other people.
Allergic to the long-term plans in vogue today, they have also preferred at this juncture the “situationist hit and run” that has characterized their past activity: the club dates of the tour will in fact begin in a dozen weeks, starting from the twentieth birthday.
To help them on stage Mattia Ferrarinia multi-instrumentalist from Reggio Emilia who has played with practically all the city's underground groups and who was chosen by Daniele and Max for his artistic attitude and sensitivity, very in tune with that which gave birth to Offlaga Disco Pax.
For the return, the catalog was also given a dusting. In fact, at the concerts there will be, together with the entire discography, one of the most sought-after rarities of their production: on the occasion of the tour it will be published for the first time on vinyl from Santeria / Audioglobe il “Prototype EP”released in 2010 only on CD in a limited edition of 500 numbered copies, which later became the Holy Grail of collectors.
“We celebrate the album that changed our lives and made us the conscious adults we are now. Each of us in these ten years of separation has processed the events as best we could, but we have never managed to definitively leave behind those songs, which are pieces of ourselves. Enrico included. Enrico especially. It will be nice to meet again and allow even those who only touched us at that time (due to personal details or distraction) to listen live to songs that they loved then or discovered only after everything had been accomplished. We will attempt, once again, to storm the Bastille of our childish heart.”
