A date: August 27, 2024, tomorrow. And a time: 8 am. That's enough to raise the fever for the Oasis reunion to an unprecedented level. Will it be the right time?
After rumors that the Gallagher brothers have reconciled and are set to perform in Manchester, London and possibly Glanstonbury in 2025 (we wrote about it here), the official Oasis, Liam and Noel Gallagher accounts shared the same cryptic message overnight: “27.08.24 8am”. No other comments.
Everyone is expecting a big announcement tomorrow. It could be an unreleased song or (can you imagine?) some simple merchandise, but given the rumors that preceded the post, everyone is expecting the big announcement in the year that celebrates the thirtieth anniversary of the debut Definitely Maybeof which a limited edition version will be released on August 30th.
Last night at the Reading Festival, Liam Gallagher dedicated Half the World Away to his brother or, as he put it, to “Noel fucking Gallagher”.
