Among the various Dark-Synths entities exploded over the past few years, the name of Nnhmn (we read non-human) has become one of the most credible, constant and inspired. Their sound Dark and hypnotic is not only by enjoying a lot of success around the world (the duo is playing literally everywhere, with more than one passage in Italy), but is proving to be increasingly engaging and sensual, thanks to one vocalist (Lee Margot) Among the most appreciated of the lap for charisma and scenic presence.
“Opera of Lust & the Art of Sorrow – Part I” is a full -bodied EP just released in digital format but soon also available in vinyl. This is the first chapter of a record project which will follow others in the near future, as announced by the NNHMN.
The quality of the product proves to be valuable: “Your Demon” starts from the coordinates so dear to Boy Harsher (still today the best known name within this latest generation vein), and then descends into the darkness with a splendid refrain where the communion between the synth By Michal Laudarg and Lee's melodies manages to create an imminent tragedy (“Your Demon Plays with Mine”, says the morbid refrain). Also noteworthy are the subsequent “The Secret” (whose start muscle soon leaves room for deep branded incursions darkwave) and “Maybe Late” (episode kissed by a mood to say the least magnetic).
The second part of the work stands out for the black incede of “Bring it on”, pending the highly synthetic obsessions of “Dressing for Pleasure”, yet another center for the couple stationed in Berlin. The most dreamlike and detached atmospheres of “Black Palms” close the circle, remarking the night attitude of this creature born mainly to make the nerovered people of alternative clubs dance.
If with “Circle of doom“(2023) The duo had reached its compositional peak, these six songs consolidate and strengthen these sensations. New desperate Gothic dances under the reflection of the neon lights.
