“Lexie“, with strong rock sounds, tells the torment that a memory can cause, so strong that it doesn't make us sleep. The memory itself, however, is in itself a dream, an adventure of the mind: the lyrics of the song play on this thin thread.
Lexie represents love beyond the reality we know, love that knows no limits of time or space, that finds its infinity beyond what we call “life”.
“The release of this single represents a very important moment for me – He declares Nicola Trois – in the last two years I have worked a lot on the lyrics and in particular on the arrangements of the songs together with three exceptional musicians: Luca Castelli, Dennis Ercole and Luca Scarpa. We are all very satisfied with the result obtained. This single paves the way for an EP that will be released in September, after a summer tour that will take us to play all over Italy.”
The video clip, shot at the Nicelli airport on the Lido of Venice and its surroundings, was created by him Nicola Trois with the collaboration of Samuele Segusotalented photographer and videomaker.
The choice to use an airport as a location was born from the idea of representing the fleetingness and “volatility” of the singer's love stories which, although intense and beautiful, lasted just the length of a song.
This desire to see what is outside, beyond the island, is perhaps the main reason that leads the artist to seek adventure, the thrill of a night, paying the high price of loneliness immediately afterwards.
That “who knows what we could have been together” leaves a sense of melancholy but, in life, it is important to metabolize and move forward.
NICOLA TROIS
Nicola Trois was born in Venice on 6 May 1999 into a family where music and art have always had an important presence: her paternal grandmother, for example, was part of the choir at the La Fenice theater in Venice.
He began by singing and playing the self-taught guitar, taking inspiration from the greats of Anglo-American blues and rock such as Led Zeppelin, Elvis, the Beatles, without ever neglecting the great masters of Italian songwriting.
Over the years he performed as a soloist in various venues in the province of Venice and deepened his study of harmony and piano at the Giuseppe Verdi Academy in Venice, as well as singing together with Maestro Andrea Tosoni. After various experiments, in June 2021 he met Luca Castelli and Dennis Ercole, drummer and bassist respectively.
Together, they work on the singer-songwriter's pieces and raw ideas, defining a series of unreleased songs with a pop/rock sound. In 2022 he participated and won the “Jesolo Music Contest” organized by Umberto Labozzetta with the song “Dove stai bene tu”, a song produced and arranged with the collaboration of Michele Bonivento, a nationally renowned musician. The song, the singer-songwriter's debut single, will be on the radio for several weeks.
He was awarded by the cultural association Mostralido at the Hotel Excelsior on the Lido of Venice for having distinguished himself as a young man in the province of Venice. A few months later he took part in the selections for Area Sanremo and X Factor without however managing to access the final stages. In the winter of 2023 he recorded 4 songs at the Velvet Recording Studio in Mestre which will make up an EP to be released in September 2024.
