Hellvisback turns ten. AND Psalm chooses not to limit itself to celebrating it but to give it new lifeblood.
On the tenth anniversary of one of the records that marked a before and after for Italian rap, the artist announces Hellvisback 10 Years Latera new project that looks forward instead of stopping at nostalgia. The album will be released Friday 3 April and will be available immediately pre-order in the format double autographed red vinyl.
Published in 2016, Hellvisback it was a breaking point. In a moment of transition for the scene, Psalm he imposed a clear, personal vision, deliberately outside the dominant fashions, bringing a radical aesthetic and an uncompromising attitude into the mainstream. A record that changed languages, sounds and ambitions, influencing an entire generation of artists. With beyond 200,000 copies soldremained a reference rather than a memory.
PSALM – HELLVISBACK 10 YEARS LATER
Ten years later, Hellvisback 10 Years Later it was not born as a celebratory operation. The project takes up the original layout of the album, including the tracks added with the Platinum Edition, and rereads it in the light of an artistic and human path that has changed in the meantime. They add to this three unreleased songsthought of not as an appendix, but as an integral part of the discussion.
The whole work is produced by Salmo and accompanied by new artwork that recalls the iconography of the time, transforming it. The mask, the central symbol of Hellvisbackreturns but filtered by ten years of evolution, as if the past were observed without nostalgia, but with awareness.
Opening the project is 10 ADout from tonight. A song written and produced by Psalmaccompanied by a black and white video clip, which functions as a manifesto rather than a single: lucid, direct, without concessions, capable of intertwining personal experience and social gaze without rhetoric.
Waiting for the release of Hellvisback 10 Years Later, Psalm he will also return live on the stages of the main summer festivals. Announced dates include Florence Rocks (June 12), Sherwood Festival in Padua (2 July), Former NATO Base in Naples (10 July), AstiMusica (July 12) and the Lebonski Park of Arzachena (25 July), in his native Sardinia.
Ten years later, Hellvisback it is not put under glass. It is put back into circulation.
