NEW MUSIC FRIDAY: NEW SINGLES REPORT CARD for November 22nd
Let's start with the songs RECOMMENDED BY ALL MUSIC ITALIAor rather the songs that deserve a listen in our opinion.
Enrico Nigiotti – You Are For Me
With a new super indie look Nigiotti presents a new piece, which however maintains the characteristic “hot” singer-songwriter with which he distinguished himself on the Italian pop scene. His vocal scratch is indistinguishable and he knows how to tell us about each song with extreme sweetness.

Mameli – Half an Hour of Love
Ballad from “last half hour of love“, when something is running out and you feel that there is so little left that you have to breathe it in at most in one breath! Mameli it amazed me. Evidently, when we sing something that has touched us, a different soul comes out and the listener cannot fail to grasp it. Very delicate arrangement and in keeping with the text, with a good harmonic evolution.

Sugar – Watercolour
In the second chapter of DISCOVER we find Watercolourcover of the song by Toquihno translated into Italian, without the Brazilian atmosphere that characterized it, which Sugar makes it a real pop hit!
When I find myself reviewing the “giants” of Italian music, ancient geniuses who never stop shining, are almost in whispers, in the sense that it seems indisputable to me to talk about the accuracy with which who is “made of music” manage and take care of your own projects.
Sugar he never stopped and, as only abig” can do, keep experimenting, studying and always studying!

Lysa – Alone By Mistake
Masterful production for this project. Truly a small pearl in the making, immensely simple, sung clearly, just as the sounds chosen to make it so are clear.
“We are a love novel” discounted? Oh no, love never is. However, it happens that you see and discover what love is by looking into the eyes of another person.
Regenerating
Jeremiah – Before You
The drums and guitar sound just as loud as the vocals and this Jeremiah he knows it, confirming himself as a talented young artist, strong and very close to a possible and interesting pop rock, which I hope they will experiment with even more with him.
The “special” is hinted, delicate and powerful. The piece is really pressing, it never stops and, in the end, it all vanishes in one fell swoop!
Great work. I would like him to continue to follow this path, especially musically.

THE FAILURES OF THE WEEK
Follya – Number One
Unfortunately, the lyrics in this song are not very clear, certainly due to a careless exposition by the singer. Follya's style today is often a winning one for the recording industry, but with almost always the same type of problem: why don't I really understand what you are saying?
I really struggle to listen and understand the words and it's a shame, because every singer and every songwriter in a text, as well as in a song and more generally through his music, wants to tell us something interesting. So, it's really a shame that we can't fully understand it.
Sometimes I notice that too many concepts are wanted to be said or conveyed at once. Starting from a starting point in the text could be an excellent key to understanding this style and the problem I encountered.
Confused
Geolier – Never Forever
Rhythmically very elementary piece. Really basic beat and lyrics. As always, I'm referring to the song itself and not the artist in general. Every now and then I want to point this out. I can't say much else, because I find it really poor and weak overall.

GOLDEN SONG
Martina Attili – Eve and Adam
A news case which, in 2022, shocked the United States of America, and which Martina Attili he had the delicacy and courage to tell. Eve and Adam tells the story of a 10-year-old girl, victim of violence, and the difficulties she had to face in obtaining the termination of her pregnancy.
A terrible story, sung “on the surface of the skin” from Martina and all in one breath, almost as if you couldn't breathe, because the violence leaves you breathless. I would only like to add that today being a young singer-songwriter and having the strength to deal with such a strong theme should be a fact to take into account.
Maybe because I'm a woman, maybe because I can't listen to it without crying or feeling overwhelmed by pain. Yes, songs also have this effect, music touches every mood, including this one.
But there is hope, as long as we have a voice to tell, as Martina did and as anyone who reports and fights does!
Courageous
Mr.Rain – Dangerous
When can something big seem so dangerous and profound to us? Mr. Rain tells us: when someone looks at us and surprises us, it's scary. It looks like crystal and we are afraid of breaking it.
The song is a romantic dedication to love, profound and light at the same time. The interpretation is refined, with a slightly scratchier voice than usual.
In short, it is a beautiful song, which I am already listening to over and over again…
The text is what struck me the most, more than usual, I must say, compared to this artist's usual project.
