New music Friday the report cards for the new singles coming out on July 5, 2024 by Amber Cianfoni.
This week too, women are triumphant and the male language leaves much to be desired, in seniors more than in young people who instead remain more delicate and simple.
Regarding the evaluation criteria: each song released will be evaluated according to the following guidelines. No single is in competition with another; we are not drawing up a ranking. I will not evaluate the career of the reviewed artists but I will examine the proposed single based on the current context of the music market, as well as on production criteria, lyrics and artistic concept. In reality, the word “judgement” has never belonged to me, I express an opinion, based on my professional skills, so that a constructive comparison can be activated.

Roy Paci – Summer Rumba
We are talking about a well-known and absolutely undisputed historical and talented trumpet player, with successes behind him and a career that speaks for itself. But I am here to talk about the piece and therefore: starting from the text that I would prefer not to analyze, I also found it quite vulgar, not very elegant let's say, certain words or images if they come out of the mouth of a twenty-year-old can also be okay, even if I don't like them I still accept them and understand, but not here. They really give me a bad taste.
Nothing more “all joy all beauty” there is neither one nor the other. Not to mention the fact that saying “I would like to have sex on the beach” you can’t hear this English inserted to lighten up, it bothers me I don’t know, I imagine it’s also the way of saying certain things, if you tell me no I’ll continue to court you come on come here… that’s the meaning. Pamela Prati – Lollipop
But how beautiful this sax at the beginning, end. Oh my goodness! Pamela damn, but what was the need for this thing now? It looks like a piece of Paola & Chiara that sung by them so SUNG was also nice! Because it is in keeping with their genre, or come on Rich & Poorand in that case he would have made a huge leap musically too! In short Pamela maybe you wrote it and someone else did it. Auto-Tune was not used as a stylistic element attributable to a reference musical genre, but rather as a mere digital artifice, why? To fulfill obvious vocal technical shortcomings!
The cover of the single is very nice and well-finished, the cherry color tone is super incisive, very “Piper” years. Giving a rating to these “situations” is difficult, so I will do it with the utmost lightness.

Gatto Panceri – I want you
Here is a man who ardently desires his woman, repeats I want you, I want you, very clearly. Now even if here the one singing is certainly a well-known and powerful voice of the Italian scene, the speech is different from the one made for Roy Pacithe way to describe a desire can be done without vulgarity and with a right poetry. Malerba – Cubalibre
“better a cough than another toxic love” sure! Usual summer piece at Baby Kexcept that the latter certainly has a different texture and the right maturity to be incisive and stay at the top. Weed the whole song is very subdued, I think that live she will make it much more UP! Maybe it is intentionally so soft, but as I always say a summer hit doesn't have great pretensions I guess. Immediate tiktok of the chorus already seen in the video clip. Very sensual this one yes, and without being exaggerated it does the right thing.

Absolutely to listen to with headphones, the sound jumps from one headphone to the other at the beginning, and then it joins together, which I love. A romantic ballad, dedicated to Fiorentina to football to passion. When I hear these pieces that mix in the indie scene I always seem to find them quite similar to each other. These elongated vowels at the ends in the choruses drag the voice and the music and make it a pleasant “lullaby” as they say to get the image across.
It's a genre that doesn't excite me but it sweetens me and I like to hum it, in the end we'll walk with these pieces in our ears, and when we talk about something interesting and not the usual topics it's always good. Nino don't be afraid, I thought, of course that's another story but surely football is a great passion and in the history of Italians it occupies a big place in the heart!

Sud Sound System – The Answers feat. Negramaro
Salento reggae is always well told. The musical intervention of the Negramaroall very scratchy, a bit confused this pop mix maybe intentionally, but it drags me and I would listen to it again, for sure. Really not necessary English then from the voice of Sangiorgi it really didn't fit in. Overall a nice experiment I would call it that, in my opinion this piece works much better live, I see nice improvisations, repetitions, etc.. light with a nice tone, pleasant!

UnFauno – my intolerant side
Play easy UnFauno! Well maybe he couldn't have made a big flop by touching one of the craziest and most brilliant pens of our times, Caparezza! I know this piece by heart, I really enjoyed this cover, between an almost jazz half trap, the most interesting thing is the melody completely different from the original that a faun gave to the chorus of the piece! That even in the original is detached and ethereal and moves away from the rest of the piece, played masterfully and equally carefully composed. I like to give space to covers and this is a great version!
I give it a 7 and a half
Nyno – Plastic Music
The initial electronic musical carpet is super interesting, it is a growing succession that then unexpectedly explodes into a mega rock in the chorus, perfect for a rebirth for “do things I wouldn't do“shame the words are always a bit slurred, a style common to many young singer-songwriters, which I would like to see improve, in fact in the chorus he doesn't do it! Everything is more open and clear.
Really well played mega drums fundamental element is in fact the rhythm section. The ending is a bit truncated. But overall a nice musical journey! For once the description and the story that the author gives is then really explanatory of the piece!

Finger in the Plague – Fugitive
She can really sing everything, I often get stuck watching her live in the videos that are shared on social media, Fingerintheplague she is the godmother of a genre that is very popular and this piece, a fresh concentration of energy and Latin sounds, is proof of it. A last minute for Cuba would be a great solution to the Italian heat of July! But Fingerintheplague she is always faithful to an Italian mood, many singers today tend both as musical research and as style to imitate the American genre etc.. she instead brings herself, researching and researching herself both musically and in the lyrics. Of course this text does not pretend anything special, it is deliberately summery and simple, repeating and repeating on the “tantantan” perfect rhythmic idea to make it a HIT.

Moon – FDN
Piece Totally Avril Lavignewhich I loved madly like many teenagers of the class of 94, obviously for the Pop Punk style also the cover, I'm talking about the music and the look but also the chosen vocal line takes a lot, until then the trap part arrives which is good, a bit too much stuff in my opinion but still nothing to say on the contrary! on the other hand “we are children of the night” is a phrase that we like to write and sing. I can only embrace the “cause” and reward the talented moon.
I wish the teenagers of generation Z would get used to and educate themselves about this musical genre, how much hope! Here dear readers, as I always like to point out when I come across them, this is a SONG!
