Neil Young will not perform in Ukraine. The rocker took a step back compared to the idea of inaugurating the European tour with a free concert in Ukraine.
In recent weeks Young had announced “a free concert in Ukraine open to everyone. We are in the middle of the negotiations and we will announce the details here. Keep on rockin 'in the free world ».
The evolution of the current geopolitical situation, however, led to a turn. Young is always writing: “We had a good location, near a refuge, but the changes that are happening there are too much”. Young continues: «I would not have a quiet consciousness to bring my crew and my tools to that area now. I apologize to everyone. Ukraine is a great country with a great leader ».
Neil Young's European tour will be held as expected, with the first date in Rättvik, Sweden, June 18. There will be no given to Italy.
