A few days before the second television appointment of Sanremo Giovani 2024scheduled for Tuesday November 19th in the late evening on Rai 2we met Bosniawhich he told us about I'm from the South (Aurora Dischi / Universal Music Italy), the song with which the songwriter and producer will try to access the section New Proposals of Sanremo Festival 2025.
I'm from the South tells the experience of those who leave their roots in search of new opportunities, facing the pain of loss and the hope of the future. The text evokes vivid images of traditions, celebrations and the sense of community of the South, which contrast with the renunciation of those who remain and the anger of those who leave.
The Southern accent remains like a poison of nostalgia and the metaphor of the spider expresses the reference to the roots, the violin spider being typical of the Mediterranean areas. The music mixes traditional rhythms with electro-pop, rap, EDM elements and alternative RnB, creating a mix of sounds that act as a backdrop to a text written mainly in Neapolitan dialect.
Bosnia will present I'm from the South competing on Tuesday 26 November on Rai2, in the late evening from 10.45pm

BOSNIA, “I COME FROM THE SOUTH”
Filippo Bosnia, aka Bosniais a rapper, producer and singer born in 1998 of Neapolitan origins. He approached music from an early age, composing his first verses in the period in which the Hip Hop movement was taking hold in Italy.
Over the years he has published several songs independently and self-produced, managing to go beyond the boundaries of musical genres, approaching composition in a free and creative way. In fact, the passion for singing and writing is subsequently joined by that for electronic music, complicit in the experimentation and search for a more personal and representative pop sound of the artist.
