Nada Surf have announced their tenth career album, expected on September 13th on the band's record label New West Records. Frontman Matthew Caws commented on the album, recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales with Ian Laughton: “Every time we make an album, I get asked (and wonder) what it's about. I never know how to answer this question. I'm still trying to figure it all out, and that's probably the closest thing to a theme there is. Looking back over the years, I know what our songs are about in theory: the attempt to achieve acceptance (of circumstances, of oneself, of others), connection, a constant search for possibility and the silver lining, the willingness to change, forgiveness, curiosity, verifying one's own mortality, motivations and judgments, etc. But the moment I make one up, I have no idea what I'm doing and maybe that's okay. I'm just trying to stay honest with myself and make my best guess to make sense of the world.”
To present the new album, the band has also announced a single Italian date at the Santeria Social Club in Milan on December 7th. Listen to the first single “In Front Of Me Now” below, accompanied by a video clip directed by Neilson Hubbard and Joshua Britt.
