The names of the 35 semi-finalists of the 15th edition of Music For Changethe most important European award with a civil background, who will take part in the live auditions on 7 and 8 September at Mood Social Club of Rende (CS), in the hope of becoming part of the group of sixteen artists who will be able to live the new experience of theAugmented Editionduring which they will be asked to compose an unpublished piece and then arrive at one of the most “feared” Of Music for Changethe “SwipeUp&Down/The Challenges”, which will decree the names of the 8 artists who will arrive at the live finale of theOctober 11th.
MUSIC FOR CHANGE: THE JURIES
The 35 semi-finalists were chosen by a composite and heterogeneous jury, which also included the participation of the public through voting on the platform Music For Change.
THE votes “Social” were then cross-referenced with those of the Jury “Casting”, formed by five selected leading figures from the world of music: Nour Al Habash (director of the Italy Music Lab Foundation and artistic director of the Milan Music Week), Angela Calvini (journalist and reporter, correspondent for Avvenire specializing in the entertainment sector), Gianni Maroccolo (record producer, musician, composer, sound engineer and sound designer), Michael Monina (writer, journalist, artistic director and television author) and Gennaro DeRosa (artistic director of Music for Change).
To these were added the votes of the third jury, the Jury “Alpha-Zeta”, made up of young people between the ages of 10 and 25 who requested it and those from Libera's Amunì project against the mafia: young people between the ages of sixteen and twenty who are undergoing criminal proceedings by the Juvenile Judicial Authority and are engaged in a process of reparation.

The 8 finalists, instead, will be selected by an artistic commission formed by the artistic director Gennaro DeRosa and four members of the Support Team: the vocal coach Cecilia Cesariothe musician and composer of Brunori S.A.S. Stephen Lovedthe multi-platinum rapper and author Dynasty and the multi-platinum producer and author Rosary Channel.
AUGMENTED RESIDENCY
L'Augmented Residencywhose first phase will be held from September 13th to 30th, will allow the 16 finalists to be followed remotely by a team of coaches, conductors, authors, composers, technicians and experts in the sector and is structured to make the process of writing the thematic piece that will lead the artists to the final easier and simpler. The 16 Finalists will in fact work on the 8 key themes of the award from their computer or smartphone via Mobile App.
The second phase will be held from October 4th to 9th, which will be dedicated to the optimization of the 8 finalists' songs, while the first live meeting is scheduled for October 10th in Cosenza (at 12:00). At that point, physically present, the artists will be busy from Thursday October 10th to Saturday October 12th with the live phases.
MUSIC FOR CHANGE: NEW RECORD OF REGISTRATIONS
The latest edition of Music For Change has recorded a new record number of registrations, with 917 applications, of which 295 were selected for the “Casting”. Specifically, 40% of the applications come from the South and the Islands, 32% from the North and 28% from the Center. 35% are also represented by women, 48% by men and 17% by bands.
The age group between 25 and 34 dominates (48%), followed by the 16/24 and 35/44 age groups (both at 20%), while 12% of the candidates are over 45 years old. Specifically, the youngest member is 16 years old, while the oldest is 16 years old.elderly” he has 75.

MUSIC FOR CHANGE: THE PRIZES
The organization will deliver the Music for Change 15th Award – Augmented Edition along with special mentions and awards from our partners.
The First Prizespecifically, consists of 10 thousand euros to be invested in the creation of a tour (thanks to the call for prizes and competitions of New Imaie).
