The 31st edition of the MTV Europe Music Awards will be held this evening, Sunday 10 November, at the Co-ap Arena in Manchester. The ceremony will be presented by Rita Ora who, after hosting in 2017 and 2022 (here with her husband, the director Taika Waititi), thus becomes the most hosted artist at the EMAs.
The show will start at 9pm and can be seen on MTV (Sky channel 131 and streaming on NOW), MTV Music (Sky channels 132 and 704) and on Comedy Central (Sky channel 129 and streaming on NOW). The live broadcast of the Italian edition will be commented by Jody Cecchetto and Shade. The show will be available live on Pluto TV channel VH1+ Music Legends on November 10th from 8pm and soon on Paramount+.
Raye, Tyla, Pet Shop Boys, Le Sserafim, Peso Pluma, Benson Boone, Busta Rhymes, Shawn Mendes, Teddy Swims and Warning will perform during the long evening. Despite Charli XCX's golden year, it is the usual Taylor Swift who has won the most nominations – seven – including Best Video, Best Artist, Best Pop. Charli XCX instead stopped at five as did Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish and Sabrina Carpenter. One step below Ayra Starr, Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, LISA, as well as Chappell Roan and Tyla, their first nominations. For the Best Italian Act, however, the quintet is made up of Angelina Mango, Annalisa, Ghali, Mahmood and The Kolors.
