A story that, as always, opens a window not only on music, but on the habits and collective obsessions of a country.
In Italy the scene is dominated by rap, with Sfera Ebbasta once again at the top among the most listened to artists, while the top positions of the songs and albums speak the language of Ollythe absolute protagonist of 2025 with the most titles in the charts. A photograph which, placed side by side with that of Apple Musicshows two different but complementary musical Italys.
Spotify Wrapped 2025: what changes compared to Apple Music?
If in the year-end rankings of Apple Music singer-songwriter pop clearly dominated – with Olly And Cesare Cremonini leading the Top 3 – Wrapped 2025 reverses the balance and brings Italian rap back to the center, which returns to occupy the top positions en masse among artists and albums. Even in the songs, however, 2025 has one element in common: Sanremo. The most listened to songs on the two services largely coincide, confirming how the Festival continues to be the main generator of hits in our country.
The most listened to artists in Italy: Sfera Ebbasta's dominance returns
Wrapped 2025 confirms a return to the roots of the urban scene: Sfera Ebbasta regains first position followed by Shiva, Gué, Geolier And Marracash. The only singer-songwriter name in the top ten is Ollywhich continues to emerge as a bridge between pop and new influences.
In Spotify's Top Songs the effects of Sanremo 2025 are obvious: Stupid nostalgia Of Olly And Juli is the most listened to song of the year, followed by Achille Lauro, Sphere & Shiva and the summer hit La Plena (W Sound 05).
The most streamed album of 2025 is ALL LIFE (ALWAYS) Of Ollyfollowed by Geolier and by the couple Ebbasta & Shiva Sphere. They close the Top 5 Bad Bunny And Artie 5ive.
Podcast: true crime remains unbeatable
For the third consecutive year the most listened to title in Italy is Elisa True Crimefollowed by Investigations. The push for video podcasts is growing, which will occupy half of the Top 10 in 2025.
