Miley Cyrus has won Record of the Year at the 2024 Grammys for her song “Flowers.” The track off her 2023 album Endless Summer Vacation beat out fellow nominees Taylor Swift (“Anti-Hero”), Billie Eilish (“What Was I Made For?”), Olivia Rodrigo (“Vampire”), Boygenius (“Not Strong Enough”), SZA (“Kill Bill”), Jon Batiste (“Worship”), and Victoria Monét (“On My Mama”). Presenting the award were Meryl Streep and host Trevor Noah.
This award is the second-ever Grammy win for Cyrus. Her first arrived earlier in the evening when she won Best Pop Solo Performance for “Flowers.” She was also nominated for Album of the Year (Endless Summer Vacation), Song of the Year (“Flowers”), Best Pop Vocal Album (Endless Summer Vacation), and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (“Thousand Miles” with Brandi Carlile).
Cyrus received her first Grammy nomination at the 2015 Grammy Awards, where her album Bangerz was up for Best Pop Vocal Album. The record was beat out that year by Sam Smith’s debut studio album In The Lonely Hour.
