Just in time for your New Year's resolutions, former First Lady Michelle Obama has unveiled a new workbook designed to boost self-confidence and inspire new paths to finding success.
“Overcoming: A Workbook” was released earlier this month and the journal has hit number one on Amazon's self-help charts, and cracked the overall bestsellers chart too. Based on Obama's New York Times bestseller “The Light We Carry,” the new guide offers “practical tools for navigating life's challenges and fortifying oneself in the face of uncertainty, obstacles, and self-doubt,” per a description.

Overcoming: A Workbook
In a recent interview on The Jennifer Hudson Showthe First Lady revealed that her mother was the main inspiration for “Overcoming.”
“I was able to write a love letter to my mom,” she said, adding that the workbook is filled with “common sense wisdom that she left me with.” Among the practical tips: advice on finding your voice and coming into your power, as you navigate life's challenges.
Published by Clarkson Potter, the 208-page book leads with anecdotes from Obama, followed by prompts that can take the format of checklists, fill-in-the-blank pages, and journal entries. In addition to sharing about her own struggles, Obama also reveals new stories about life with husband Barack, favorite family traditions, and what it's like to parent two young adults.
