Michele Bravi,”Italian humor” feat Gué: meaning of the lyrics of the new single
Following the release of his latest concept album, “What do you see when you close your eyes“, Michele Bravi (here is our video interview) presents a new version of “Italian humor” (EMI Records Italy / Universal Music Group) feat Guéwhich will be available on all major streaming and download platforms starting Friday 10 May.
“Italian Humor” feat Guè: meaning of the song
The song represents a real bridge between different art forms, from fashion to cinema, showing how pop culture can truly become a vehicle for critical reflection. And here it is the same Michele Bravi defines the song “a melancholic parody on the dictatorship of laughter between Italian caricature and the most vulgar cinema“.
But that is not all! Inside the song Gué in fact he also speaks of sophisticated ignorance and with his pen he pays homage to the greatest Italian artists of the grotesque, as well as to the masters of cinema of the golden years.
Michele bravo, the collaboration with Fausto Puglisi
The cover artwork was entirely created by Fausto Puglisi (Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Minogue, Lady Gaga, Rihanna), who has left her unmistakable brand of sensuality and ferocity.
“Fausto was the first to give me the opportunity to create a dialogue between fashion and music and this latest gift from him adds a little piece to the gratitude and infinite esteem I already feel for him”.

“Umorismo Italiano” feat Guè: lyrics of the song
Waiting for the lyrics of “Italian humor” feat Guéwhich will be available starting from Friday 10 May, below we report the original lyrics of the song.
Imagine being inside a comedy
And laugh at silly phrases and random jokes
And still laugh
Until I feel sick
And don't breathe
The times you freak out
It would be comical as a sequence
I who speak to you desperately
Of our things
On stage I would just look like a buffoon
Imagine the room with the lights off
And take life less seriously
I would make dirty jokes just this once
Make sure the audience has fun tonight
And let's laugh a little
Feel how they do it ha ha ha
We like to be dramatic
But everyone goes ha ha ha
We are more banal than we admit
Italian humor
What a laugh ha ha ha
Please don't cry
Feel how they do it ha ha ha
We are just phenomena
But everyone goes ha ha ha
We are more obvious than we admit
Italian humor
What a laugh ha ha ha
(Ah Ah Ah Ah)
We gesture with our hands in an exaggerated way (Ah)
But what a torment this damned sweet life is (Ah)
Imagine the two of us in Cinecittà
To be actors in a vulgar film with a predictable plot
Bread, love and melancholy
Better to clap along with the audience
Grotesque and popular just this once
I would say my opinion even if not asked
And let's laugh a little
Feel how they do it ha ha ha
We like to be dramatic
But everyone goes ha ha ha
We are more banal than we admit
Italian humor
What a laugh ha ha ha
Please don't cry
Feel how they do it ha ha ha
We are just phenomena
But everyone goes ha ha ha
We are more obvious than we admit
Italian humor
What a laugh ha ha ha
And let's laugh a little
Feel how they do it ha ha ha
We like to be dramatic
But everyone goes ha ha ha
We are more banal than we admit
Italian humor
What a laugh ha ha ha
Please don't cry
Feel how they do it ha ha ha
We are just phenomena
But everyone goes ha ha ha
We are more obvious than we admit
Italian humor
What a laugh ha ha ha
