Massimo Di Cataldo returns with the new album 30 years together Vol. 2available in digital stores from December 10, 2024. The album comes out a year later 30 years together Vol. 1which contained the most representative songs of the artist's career.
30 years together Vol. 2 (Dicamusica/Believe) is a collection composed of 12 songs: 10 historical songs, the last single More than ever and a personal rereading of The sky in a room.
This recording project – he says Massimo Di Cataldo – “It owes its creation to the many people who requested it, some songs that were not included in the previous one can be found here”. The singer-songwriter underlines that “the collection required considerable production work, but finally it is here with all the passion, to share again some musical episodes which, in my life and above all in that of those who loved my songs, represent a furrow in which time show respect. The most recent versions add something new, thanks also to the experience gained in numerous concerts always characterized by a natural exchange of energies”.
In 30 years together Vol. 2, Massimo Di Cataldo included his latest single, but also wanted to pay homage to a piece of Italian musical history. “Il cielo in una stanza is an essential piece, in my opinion, in Italian music”, says the artist. “I met Gino Paoli on the occasion of a Disney event and I made him smile by thanking him for writing this song which had been the soundtrack to my parents' story. In some way I consider him a supporter of my artistic life. The version contained in the collection is a demo that I recorded in 2014 and never released until now”.
