After facing a series of sexual abuse allegations, Marilyn Manson has signed a new recording contract with independent metal label Nuclear Blast.
Rolling Stone US confirmed the deal after Manson and Nuclear Blast shared a short video on social media that appears to include a snippet of the artist's new music. The name of the song was not revealed, but towards the end of the clip, Manson whispers the refrain: “Keep sleeping, I'll make you dream of me.” Comments on the video have been disabled.
It is unclear whether Manson, who released the latest album We Are Chaos in 2020, has a new single or full-length album ready (a label representative confirmed the signing but declined to reveal further details). In 2021, actress and Manson's ex-girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood accused the musician (real name Brian Warner) of sexual abuse; after which more than a dozen women came forward with additional allegations involving psychological and sexual abuse (Manson denied the allegations).
Some of these women spoke to Rolling Stone about these allegations, including his former assistant, Ashley Walters, who said Warner “offered” her to his friends, and actress Esmé Bianco, a former girlfriend of the musician, who she recalled: «Before I even got together with him, he talked about raping me. I thought: “I guess it's just his way and if everyone accepts it, who am I not to laugh about it together?”
Since then, Warner has settled some lawsuits, including one filed by Bianco. In June 2025, however, he will face a lawsuit brought by Walters in a Los Angeles court, after the previously rejected lawsuit was reopened on appeal. Furthermore, Warner was also sued for sexual assault on a minor. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department also opened a criminal investigation into Warner.
Following these allegations, Warner was quickly abandoned by many of his longtime business partners and collaborators, including manager Tony Ciulla, his record label Loma Vista and Booking (CAA). In March, Marilyn Manson's return to the stage was announced. The artist will open for Five Finger Death Punch on their North American tour in August and September, followed by a few headline dates.
