Out from Friday 25 October on all digital platforms”Take me away“, the new single by LucretiaFor Futura Dischi.
The new piece comes after “Blueberries“, a song where man and nature intertwine harmoniously, which kicked off the singer-songwriter's new musical project, and “Los Angeles“, which imagines a slow lifestyle, in contact with the wild and animal part of us.
“Take me away” continues this cycle of songs that anticipate the new EP by Lucretiaentitled “Bark“, and tells of love in its broadest and deepest form, that is, the salvific one.
The extremely delicate text explains how the author wishes to see all those she loves free from the cage, saving them from the violence and pain of the world, whether they are known or unknown people, people, or animals.
“I wrote a song called “Take me away“, which is a bit like what we would always like to do towards those we love: take them away from the suffering of the world. This song is about love, which can have many forms. Specifically, I'm talking about love towards a category that is definitely in difficulty: animals that live in cages, which are currently very many, definitely too many. Just as it would not be acceptable for us to see someone we love inside cages, it should not be equally acceptable to see an animal there. Love has the power and duty to open our eyes to these things too.” tells Lucretia.
The cages in which we find ourselves locked up can be in our heads or created by society, but for many animals the cage is a home, the place where they spend their entire existence, knowing only violence and understanding its uselessness more than anyone else. .
