The Arcade Fire published “Pink Elephant”, title track of the homonymous album to be released on May 9, 2025 for Columbia Records/Sony Music. After the preview with “Year of the Snake”, the Canadian band returns with her seventh studio work, already available in pre-order.
After weeks of teaser, the Arcade Fire – Win Butler, Régine Chassagne, Jeremy Race, Tim Kingsbury and Richard Reed Parry – announced “Pink Elephant”, an album that promises a 42 -minute sound journey through ten songs of “mystical and cinematographic punk”. Produced by Win Butler, Régine Chassagne and Daniel Lanois, the disc was recorded at the Good News Recording Studio Studio in New Orleans owned by Win and Régine. The disc title refers to the “pink elephant”, a metaphor of the paradox of thought: the more you try to ignore it, the more it becomes impossible to avoid. Listened to in its entirety, “Pink Elephant” presents itself as a musical odyssey, a profound reflection on existence, light and shadow, and inner beauty.

The album, consisting of ten unpublished tracks, promises a sound journey that ranges between punk sounds and almost cinematic atmospheres.
“Year of the Snake”, the first extract, sees Régine on the voice and – for the first time in the history of the band – on bass, while Win Butler moves to the battery. The title recalls 2025, the snake lunar year, a symbol of transformation and rebirth: a clear reference to the new course of the band, which although renewing, maintains its unmistakable sound.
At the same time, the “Circle of Trust” app is launched, an exclusive space for fans that collects news, music, videos, early access to tickets and merchandise, in addition to the premiere of the episode of “Santa Pirate Radio”, where the band tells itself directly and personally. On the app, “Cars and Telephones” is also available on the app, an unpublished song accompanied by an official video clip: it is the first song that Win played for Régine.
Before the official publication, the Arcade Fire will present “Pink Elephant” in a series of showcase selected, including an appointment at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
“Pink Elephant” follows “We”, the 2022 album that had reached the first place in the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland and the Netherlands
