More than a year after his latest recording project, Lucio Corsi returns with the single “Tu sei il giorno”, published by Sugar Music and available on the radio and on all digital platforms. Written and produced by Corsi himself together with Tommaso Ottomano and Antonio Cooper Cupertino, the song is a melancholy journey into the memory of first love, told with the nostalgic gaze of someone who has come to terms with the passage of time and maturity. The song unfolds between verses that evoke a pure and reassuring emotional awareness, as if, in the end, the heart of the one who loves revisits the past with more expert eyes, while keeping the memory of a vivid and immutable feeling intact.
“You are the morning is not only a love song, but also a story of changes, growth and that incessant flow of time, like the water of a flowing river. I tried to relive some childhood memories, weaving them with other stories and taking advantage of those that remain stronger and truer”, explains Corsi. The morning, thus, becomes the symbol of a beginning, of a lost and rediscovered innocence, similar to a dish that you learn to appreciate only with time, like minestrone.
With its dreamy rock ballad, with a 70s flavor and rich, cinematic instrumentation, the song fits naturally into the soundtrack of “Vita da Carlo – Third Season”, Carlo Verdone's TV series arriving on Paramount+ on November 16th , in which Corsi figures among the protagonists. The song promises to be one of the milestones of this new season, capable of poetically describing the contrast between dreams and reality.
The single follows “La Gente che Sogna”, last year's album, a work which, three years after “What we will do when we grow up?”, consolidated Corsi's position as one of the protagonists of the Italian singer-songwriter panorama, defined by critics as a “pioneer of glam songwriting”. It is no coincidence that, with his unique and refined approach, Corsi continues to dig into the heart of his stories, giving away tracks that do not simply tell, but that leave an indelible mark.
