Saturday 24 June went on stage Italy Loves Romagna, the great event organized to help the populations affected by the flood which hosted many new and nascent big names in Italian music. The Romagnola could not be missing on the stage Laura Pausini which certainly gave one of the most intense and true moments of the evening.
The evening, broadcast in prime time by Rai 1 with the presentation of several artists including Amadeus, Alessia Marcuzzi, Francesca Fagnani And George Panariellofeatured several unreleased duets including Tananai with max Pezzali with Years, Emma And Fiorella Mannoia neither The Weight of Courage, Irama and Elise on the notes of Wherever you will be until the final trio formed Morandi, Nuisance and Elodies with Life Of Lucio Dalla.
All the artists brought music and heart to the stage and, once again, music, that sector which was literally abandoned by the institutions during the pandemic, has shown that it is ready to move the masses to help our country rebuild.
Among the most intense performances there was certainly that of Laura Pausini. After all, the artist had been missing from the stage for several years if we exclude the three exclusive live shows in New York, Madrid and Milan. You will be back soon, very soon, starting from 30 June (see here).
Laura entered the stage singing a capella My Romagna to then continue with two of the most positive pieces of his repertoire, Welcome And Similar. Surprisingly, her friend then arrived on stage Georgia to duet together on the notes of You’ve got a friend Of Carole King.
In the middle of the two musical moments, the solo one and the one with the Roman colleague, the Pausini he dedicated to his land, moving several times, important words.
“Thank you!
I learned this love here, I learned it on the streets where I grew up, on the streets where like so many of you who are here, and you who are watching us, we learned to become Emiliano Romagnoli. Do that thing there, the one you saw once again now, on television, when you cleaned houses, singing Romagna mia, when you had the courage to help each other, among us.
I want to greet all my fellow villagers who have been very, and are very, impressed. Music is in the front row, music is always the first to respond but it’s not enough, now the difficult thing begins, now thanks to the Civil Protection, to so many people, thanks for coming… to the volunteers to help in the towns, thank you very much. But now if you live here, in Romagna, you know that a very hard part begins in which we really have to return to our homes… and not everyone can do it.
I can’t give much but I want to be present, I want to be with you because I am OF YOU. I’ve always been born here and this courage you gave me, this courage you gave me to travel the world, I have it because I’m from Romagna, because you have to work your ass off. And when you have a chance you have to go and get it and this is what my land taught me.”
Below are the videos that capture the intense moment and the words of Laura Pausini for his Romagna. We remind you that you can donate 2 euros for the solidarity campaign “Italy Loves Romagna” until 5 July they send a message to 45538.
