Lana Del Rey took the stage at Neil Young's “Harvest Moon” benefit concert on Saturday; the singer-songwriter opened the set with her own version of The Needle and the Damage Done by Young.
“I thought we could start with a little Neil,” Del Rey told the audience as she took the stage at the Painted Turtle Summer Camp in Lake Hughes, California. Then, she and her band launched into a faithful and engaging reinterpretation of the classic contained in the album Harvest.
Del Rey's set also included performing her own songs Arcadia, Video Games, Summertime Sadness And Norman Fucking Rockwellas well as his first performance of Let the Light In.
Saturday's concert marked Del Rey's last scheduled performance in 2025, though there's always the possibility she could take the stage unexpectedly should the opportunity arise. Lana's new album is expected to be released in 2026.
This year's Harvest Moon also featured Beck, John Mayer and Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts. Proceeds from the concert will benefit Painted Turtle, which offers a summer camp for children with serious health problems, and the Bridge School, which promotes the education of children with serious physical and speech disabilities.
