Lana Del Rey is officially back. The singer-songwriter made her return with White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Huntersong taken from his next album, Stove.
The song has an essential arrangement, with some arcs that embellish its structure.
The title of the song had already been revealed on February 10 via her Instagram stories, where Lana had defined it as her “favorite song” by Stove. “It's the one I've been waiting for,” she said, adding that the song was co-produced by Drew Erickson and Jack Antonoff, and co-written with her husband Jeremy Dufrene, brother-in-law and sister Caroline “Chuck” Grant.
The singer also hinted at the album's release date: “Honestly, soon. Vinyl takes about three months to produce, so adding a couple of weeks… it could be a little less or a little more than that.” Whatever the final date, it will be a special day for Del Rey's fans, who are anxiously awaiting her 10th studio album, after the previous one. White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter arrives 10 months after the singles Henry, Come Hon And Bluebirdand six months after Del Rey shared an excerpt of a song with biting references to Ethel Cain. When Henry was released in April 2025, the album was still called The Right Person Will Standy (prior to this, the working title was Period). The release was initially scheduled for May 2025, but Lana decided to postpone it and return to the studio to continue working on it.
