The project arrives 22 years after their last album “A Curious Case“, which together with the debut album “The Romantic hero” made them one of the most successful groups for an entire generation, along with Bluvertigo and ai Soerba.
The band, formed by Lele Battista, Giorgio Mastrocola, Giuseppe Sabella And Michele Sabellatells how they decided to return to making music after twenty years:
“The story of The Synthesis it starts again one night last summer, when
we are contacted by Saifam which informs us of the vinyl pressing of our albums. We meet to sign records, and on that occasion the idea of making a new song together after twenty years takes shape, a song to celebrate our common history.
We worked with dedication and light-heartedness, guided by the desire to do something important for ourselves, far from certain commercial logics that in the past have undermined our unity. We returned exactly twenty years from the moment our paths diverged with the awareness that without this music our lives would be a mistake.”
The single “Stravinsky” was born from the collaboration with the author Andrea Martinelliwho writes an abstract and poetic text for the song, and subsequently also arrives “Final“, which tells the story of two lovers who, after twenty years, meet again and think about their past history.
