The new edition of the FESTIVALINO represents a further step in the networking path pursued by SOLIDO and made possible by the financing of law 2/2018 of the Emilia-Romagna Region relating to the development of the music sector and thanks to the support of the Emilia-Romagna Music Commission. A virtuous and effective model of cooperation, a unique in Emilia-Romagna: for the first time in the Region three important live music realities come together in a common plan, based on a shared vision that puts digital culture, environmental sustainability, gender balance and new forms of inclusiveness at the centre.
An idea of creating widespread and inclusive culture which also has among its objectives the rediscovery and re-evaluation of the identity of the territory, concretely involving the subjects who are part of it: artists, the public, bodies, associations and operators in the cultural sector.
Territorial valorization that passes primarily through the FESTIVALINO program, which hosts many musicians and experts from Emilia-Romagna (San Leo, Sandri, Bremo, Tristram, Elisa Graci, “Povere Puttane”, Ilaria Virgili, Arianna Poli), but also through the location that it is hosted by Spazio Marte, a creative HUB inhabited by artists and creatives linked to the world of visuals and images who create synergies both internally and with similar external realities, as in case of the FESTIVALINO.
THE PROGRAM OF FESTIVAL
The FESTIVALINO program starts on Friday 20 December from 7pm with the first appointment of the all-female talk section. The inaugurator is Roberta Sammarelli, bassist of Verdena who also collaborates with other musical groups such as Demons at Play, Rezophonic and Sadside Project. Currently in the band that accompanies Motta on tour, she was also presenter, with Francesco Mandelli, of the “CheTripShow!” format. Roberta will intervene, together with one of the artistic directors of the Solido network, in the talk Skyrocketing tickets: the cost of live music between fees and the role of multinationals hosted by Ilaria Virgili, press manager of the Retropop Live Association. The evening continues with live shows and showcases: Egosex arrive from Spain with their engaging rhythms, evocative lyrics and hypnotic melodies, which have become synonymous with their musical identity.
Then it's the turn of the Italian singer-songwriter Angelica, on tour with her third album Unknown Superstars (2024), a mix of enveloping melodies on a sound that is varied and homogeneous at the same time, for an emotionally demanding and liberating process. The openings at the main concerts give space to local music with two names from Cesena: the dark pop duo Bremo which investigates the limit between music, performance and visual elements, combining distorted sounds and electronic experiments with a pop and queer attitude; and again Sandri, who made his debut in 2022 collaborating with artists such as Jang Senato, Comaneci, Alberto Fortis and Sunday Morning, and is now fresh from the release of the double single DOG/NOT EVEN TIME FOR A COMPLAINT (Red Rain Discs).
Saturday 21 December will start at 4.30pm with two talks. The first is Crossing boundaries: Creating safe and inclusive spaces at festivals with Arianna Poli (Ferrara Sotto le Stelle/Panico Concerti) and Francesca Santucci of the Fuori Binario project, moderated by Elisa Graci, presenter, author and editor who, after having been at Radio Città del Cape for a long time and having worked between Chicago and New York, hosts the program “Playground” on Radio Popolare. Graci also returns for the talk Gender disparity, when festivals exclude female artists with the contribution of Simona Giuliano (Emilia-Romagna Music Commission), and of the collective comic project “Povere Puttane”, composed of Giulia Cellino (aka Ritardo) Martina Sarritzu and Eliana Albertini. Following this, the English indie rock band The K's presents its first album live I Wonder If The World Knows?, which debuted at number 3 in the UK Albums Chart and earned him the “Revelation Artist of the Year” award at the 2024 Northern Music Awards. Also on the bill are the Italian-German band Loyal Cheaters and their turbo rock'n'roll, live with the second album And All Hell Broke Loose (2024). Opening with two projects from Romagna: the Rimini duo San Leo, which moves between hypnotic grooves and explosive intensity, tribal and shamanic rhythms fused with minimal rock and psychedelia; and Tristam, who from Riccione brings his love songs from other times that meet the troubled ways of the current ones.
During the day there will also be space for the presentation of Green Mindthe new Acieloaperto project born from the need to continue its activities in a sustainable direction and to be increasingly responsible in every area of the festival.

SOLIDO was born spontaneously in the midst of the pandemic in 2020, becoming part of the various initiatives that the entertainment sector developed to respond to the major issues arising from the profound crisis in the live sector. From a temporary project it then evolved into SOLIDO, a coordination with a clear identity and well-defined intentions. With the restart of the live music sector, the experience continued with even greater vigor as demonstrated by the line ups of the three festivals involved which promote a welcoming and stimulating experience model, open to various and new sounds, audiences and generations, capable of bringing the best of the international panorama to the Region but at the same time valorising Italian artists, in particular from Emilia-Romagna. If the results achieved in the three years 2021/2023 are excellent and encouraging in terms of quality and quantity of cultural contents and events presented, 2024, thanks to the initiatives proposed, has given the start to another three-year period in which “Solido” is a candidate to be a point of reference for festivals in terms of enhancing networking, public awareness and inclusiveness.
