Kazy Lambist persistently navigates a realm of frictionless and conflict-free sounds, through music that is welcoming and panoramic, sophisticated and hedonistic, volatile and elegant, relaxed yet full of character. While others might draw on their electronic arsenal to more aggressive means, Kazy Lambist, inspired by sensuality and emotion, refuses to confine himself within restrictive musical niches.
His new album, “Fashion” explores beyond boundaries, always maintaining a perfect balance between refinement and pleasure. He draws inspiration from Turkey, from Italy (where Kazy lived for two years during the conception of the album), from the South of France (his Montpellier) with the symbolic Mediterranean Sea as a common thread. The record immerses itself in the limbo of a thriving chill-wave, manifesting itself in various vibrant forms and tells love stories, seeking both sonic ecstasy and introspective pain ('After All'), a combination that releases elegance ('Italian Way') and golden reflections ('Somebody To Love'), to shine at different speeds.
This type of fluid pop adorns with more sunny sensuality to express the dissolution of the relationship between an artist and his muse ('Lost' with the now historic stage collaborator Amouë), or becomes more restless in the excessive exultation of the celebration of wine ('Méditerranée'). The music also takes on a groovy sensuality on 'Flawless Form', accompanied by Strasbourg jazz collective Emile Londonien. With “Fashion“, Kazy Lambist explores beyond boundaries, always maintaining a perfect balance between refinement and pleasure.
