John Legend and Mary J. Blige's concert in Naples will not be there. John Legend gave the news that through a story on Instagram said that, in reality, the negotiation had never been completed.
“Dear Italian fans” reads the press release, “you may have seen the advertisement of one of my concerts in Naples. This advertisement was posted without having to know and without approval. My team was contacted for the possibility of performing this concert, we hoped to reach an agreement with the promoter, but it was not possible. So, unfortunately, I won't keep a concert from you ».
After thanking the fans for the support, Legend concludes: «I love playing in Italy and I hope it will happen soon. But I don't want my fans to be deceived and expect to see me play at an event in which I will not be there. I apologize for every inconvenience ».
The double concert was part of Naples 4ver Show, two evenings to celebrate “the deep link between Italy and the United States, inspired by Filippo Mazzei, Italian patriot who in the eighteenth century influenced Thomas Jefferson in the drafting of the declaration of independence”. The other evening, for now confirmed for July 4, will be with 50 cents accompanied by over 100 musicians of the Independent Orchestra.
