Jack White attacked Donald Trump after the US president published a racist post against the Obamas on social media. Trump shared a video on Truth Social that depicted Barack and Michelle Obama as monkeys. The post was removed shortly after.
“A post like this would get anyone, from any job, fired immediately… except from the most important position in the world,” White wrote in an Instagram post. The musician then attacked Trump and his aggressive policies even more harshly.
“Trump is a racist, a rapist, a criminal, a con man (right now he is ordering the US government to pay him $10 billion simply because no one is stopping him), clearly suffers from dementia, yet has the power to send gestapo-style ICE soldiers to kill our citizens, and, even more dangerously, has the nuclear codes and can exterminate humanity at any moment on a self-centered whim,” the artist wrote. White continues: “How is it possible that we gave so much power to this evil man?”
The message continues, even more harshly: «Arrest this man. Impeach this man. Use the 25th Amendment against this man. Indict this man. Throw this man in jail,” added the musician.
On the other hand, this is not the first time White has attacked Trump. Last month, White criticized Trump after a White House press conference in which the president listed his successes during the first year of his administration. In December, the musician turned harshly on the president after his surreal response to Rob Reiner's death.
In August, after White criticized the tacky style in which Trump decorated the Oval Office, calling it “disgusting”, the White House responded. Communications director Steven Cheung had defined the musician as “a finished loser, an ex someone who writes nonsense on social media”. White responded: “Being insulted by the White House led by this crook is an honor for me, because whoever Trump supports is a criminal who gives nothing to others.”
