Photo of acting legend spending holiday with daughter Lorraine marks his first public image in nearly two years
An increasingly rare new photograph of Jack Nicholson was revealed Thursday in a gallery of images capturing the actor and his family’s holiday gathering.
The image of the 87-year-old actor, long retired from the movie business, was among those posted by Nicholson’s daughter Lorraine in the ninth slide celebrating “the giving season”:
In the caption, Nicholson’s Something’s Gotta Give director Nancy Meyers wrote, “Your dad looks great.”
As the Hollywood Reporter notes, Lorraine’s photo is the first public image of Nicholson in nearly two years.
The actor also hasn’t made a public appearance since attending some Los Angeles Lakers playoff games in April and May 2023; those surprise appearances marked his first time in his trademark courtside seats since 2021.
The acting legend and three-time Oscar winner — as well as the most-nominated male actor in Academy Award history — last appeared on the big screen 14 years ago in the 2010 romantic comedy How Do You Know. His last on-screen appearance found him reminiscing about his friendship with Muhammad Ali in the documentary The Fight Game.
