Coma things, Melted life: the interview
From today Friday 7 March 2025 is out Melted life (Asian Fake / Warner Music Italy), the new album of Coma thingsavailable on all digital platforms. In physical format, the Gold vinyl, the pink vinyl and the cd are available.
After participating in the Sanremo Festival 2025 with the song Heartsi Coma things They return with an intimate album that, between ballads and songs with various sound facets, contains the numerous colors that characterize their path, telling a new very personal chapter.
The title, Melted lifebest describes the polysemic vein of Coma things And inside it the stylistic and aesthetic concept that plays with the word “melts” unfolds: the feline ones that accompany the life of the duo -two cats -, the artistic and emotional fusion but also the melted life understood as emotional burnout.

On the occasion of the meeting with i Coma things, The duo welcomes the press in the suggestive 21 House of Stories On the Navigli, on the eighth floor of this hotel that has a nice terrace covered with a view of Milan to envy. “The exit of Melted life It is the closure of a circle, but also a return to the origins. We wanted to give ourselves a box of memories and this album was the way to make this gift to us, pulling the sums of our path ».
One of the first questions that arises spontaneously is the reason why there is a cat on the cover:
«We have two cats at home and they are a fundamental part of our life. In addition, we also wanted to transmit the tenderness present inside the album and thanks to the image of the cat we tried to describe the binarism between this and the melted life understood as burnout “
“The trip to Japan also inspired us, but in reality there is no real specific motivation, we only liked the idea of something extremely sweet, a kitten similar to cotton candy”.
Another question that is natural concerns Sanremo and their sensations about it after an excellent tenth place:
«We are very happy and satisfied, it was a Sanremo different from the precedents because we were less tense than the previous ones thanks to the experience and because this time we wanted to have fun, amaze and show ourselves in another guise, as is happening to Hearts. We are satisfied for our Sanremo path also for the fact that new fans have arrived ».
Entering specifically on the disc, Melted life It is an album that speaks of love, but essentially because it talks about their history, the history of Coma things and their journey:
«We tried to put ourselves naked and tell us, as we always do. The songs of this album are of love because they basically speak of our history. It was a therapeutic album regarding our history, almost like a sort of analysis disc “
«It seemed right to us then to give this visual input also adding tenderness. We came from a cover in which anger was told (in A wonderful way of saving yourselfed.), While Melted life It is more a disc of awareness. The phrase “There is no glory, it is only your courage” (in Salicieditor's note) perfectly tells our story. We are happy with our path but there is not at the end glory, it is a shared journey of collective memory especially ours, we block memories ».
At the sound level, inside the album there is a lot of experimentation and references of the 60s-70-'90 matrix and is a very played album:

Behind the apparent lightness that transpires from the album, there is a very particular choice of texts, terms and issues:
«We are a songwriting project from zero day. Although we are no longer those of the first hour, as many tell us, there is always a consistency of messages, regardless of the dress they wear productions. Even in the most pop and radio song there may be a message, we like to play with this type of language, also because light things are not always perceived by the public, you can always leave something a posteriori “
“The disc then becomes an opportunity in which you can speak with fans and treat certain issues because in another way, in a world that runs faster and faster, it is increasingly difficult”.
On the future, the only clear idea is the celebration of the ten years of career with two concerts in the buildings, then who knows:
«We want to change, but this has always accompanied us. The concerts in the buildings at the end of the year will be a great goal and fulfillment of our path, but we also feel the need to do something alone, detach ourselves, but not necessarily at a musical level. We will see”.
